Blocking a sender in Outlook Express

Despite being a very essential aspect of our personal and professional life, emails can sometimes prove risky for our computer systems. Spam mails are irritating enough to make a user ponder over the solutions to block spam mail sender. And of course, it is must to avoid irritations and keep your computer safe from viruses transported by spam mails.

When using Outlook Express as your email client, you may find it very easy to block any sender for avoiding spam mails. To block and any sender in Outlook Express, you just need to follow these steps:

  • Select the offending message
  • Go to message menu and select Block Sender
  • Outlook Express will then ask if you wish to delete all messages from that sender that are in the current folder.
  • Click Yes if you want the new message you receive from that sender to be immediately moved to the Deleted Items folder.

However, blocking suspected senders can help you to avoid spam mails to an extent but in case the sender changes his or her email address, you may find it difficult to avoid junk mails.
